How many
Can't change
But are still hurt?
Through time
and space
God's sweet child
cries, forlorn
Cast out in the cold
Born into
whatever someone sees
as wrong...
tainted by gender,
by race,
by disability,
nationality,
lineage,
religion,
sexuality...
Beautiful
brothers and sisters,
whole and perfect
are subjected to such pain.
While the people in the halls
and the streets
Gossip,
mutter,
curse the day.
What can I do?
In a moment,
We are all
That child,
rejected and alone.
Have courage,
you fair souls.
Near and far,
have faith,
try to trust
and know
That I love you.
The broken,
the weeping,
the lonely,
